Alex Lyon has a very pedagogical and practical approach to his courses. The information delivered here is useful, easy to put into practice and valuable for both beginners and experienced speakers.

The course was educational, easy to understand, and designed in a step-by-step way.

This course by Alex Lyon is excellent -- and I recommend it for anyone who wants to give a persuasive speech, or speeches, or even someone who wants to be more persuasive in day-to-day conversation. This is the first course by Alex Lyon that I've ever done and I loved it. (I just finished.) I'll be doing more of his courses in the future, and will likely revisit this one too. In this course, Alex Lyon starts off by teaching you how to transition from an informative style to a persuasive style. You learn how to tell interesting stories, how to start and end a speech, and how to build your credibility as a speaker. You learn in-depth how to use Monroe's Motivated Sequence, how to give your audience confidence in your competence. And much, much more! Also, Alex Lyon does something really special throughout this course. All along, he teaches you how to be honest in your persuasion. Now I'll tell you how you can get the most out of this course. 1. Take notes! 2. Try writing a sample speech using the tips as you go along. Without immediate practice, you will forget a lot of what you learned. This is not unique to this course, but is true of all learning. 3. Alex Lyon has included many "action steps" for you so that you can practice what you learn. You should try these. They are easy and do not take very long. Do them. Do all of them. Alex Lyon shows you how to be persuasive and ethical at the same time. You aren't trying to persuade someone to believe something false, are you? Because you're not, you learn that you should use data and statistics truthfully and to show any possible downsides as well. That said, I'll be sure to mention all possible downsides to this course. The first downside is that you will have to take the time to watch all the videos and do the exercises. I'm sure you could spend this time doing something that is maybe a little more fun, like scrolling through facebook or youtube. But I would say that this is more valuable. Also there's the cost of getting the course. You've probably already been aware of that though. This course is awesome. Get it, take notes, do the practice work, and become persuasive. You've seen Alex's YouTube channel, most likely. You know that all of his work is top-notch, and this course is no exception.

It's like taking a creative writing class in school. I highly recommend getting a journal/notebook to track all the action steps for hands-on. The course is amazing. I want to add it to my library for personal reference. Job well done & very easy to follow.
